Zhara is the foundation dam for Pfeiferstein Schnauzers Standard Schnauzer Breeding Program. She is a sweet dog who loves affection! She is highly intelligent and has been nicknamed the Thinker, as well as the Party Girl, due to her fun loving nature. She loves to train, and latent learning has been her best friend! She has dog friends of several breeds, but her all time best friend is Risk the border collie.
Zhara quickly earned her UKC Conformation Championship by 13 months old, and earned her AKC Conformation Championship by the age of 25 months! In UKC, Zhara earned several Group 1 Placements, as well as Best in Show. In AKC, Zhara earned several Best of Breed wins from the Classes. Zhara holds titles in agility, barn hunt, and FastCAT, as well as qualifying runs in Rally. She also earned her Novice Tricks title and Canine Good Citizen title. Zhara has started on the journey of being a stock dog aka herding sheep. She enjoys the thrill of herding!
Zhara is a lovely girl, and improvement in her chest is sought in her breedings. She possesses an exquisite hard coat, which will likely be retained in her puppies. Being a natural standard schnauzer, one can appreciate the correctness of her ear and tail set. It is important to note that puppies produced from Pfeiferstein Schnauzers will not be cosmetically altered. This means they will remain with their dewclaws, ears, and tails. This is a highly important fact to be aware of, as cosmetically altering a puppy after purchase will not be allowed.

Ignita was the main keeper puppy from Zhara's first litter. At roughly age 16 weeks her tail started to curl on the end, but luckily it is not a kink. Ignita has passed her preliminary OFA elbows and hips (not posted) and will likely be bred when she is 4 years old, pending final OFA results.
Ignita is everything that was desired in this first litter - confidence, more bone, better front, incredible intelligence! Her body type is a little longer than desired, but the rest is amazing. However, as she's continued to develop she has become more square. Ignita is a fun loving lady and has a playful, energetic attitude! She is extremely intelligent in training and picks up very quickly. Ignita has begun training in agility, nosework, and herding. Her future is extremely bright!

Astral was the puppy that was not meant to stay from Zhara's first litter, but as things sometimes turn out there was no family for her. It was decided that she would stay and she would become Shantel's husbands (Matt) dog, and therefore his hunting dog. That is right - a standard schnauzer can be anything they want to be! Astral is being trained by Shantel and Matt, and has a very solid pheasant retrieve and is under a gun shot. She will experience her first hunting season Fall 2026!
Although Astral was not the keeper, she turned out extremely well - confidence, better front, square body, incredible intelligence! Astral is a fun loving lady and has a playful, energetic attitude! She is extremely intelligent in training and picks up very quickly. Aside from hunt training, Astral has begun training in agility and nosework. Her future is extremely bright!

Emry is also a very sweet girl! Emry is highly intelligent! In fact, Shantel has never trained a dog quite as smart as Emry! Her ability to catch onto a training subject, and immediately remember it is amazing! Emry can then take this knowledge and transfer the learned skill into different environments very easily!
Emry was meant to be the foundation dam of Pfeiferstein Schnauzers Miniature Schnauzer Breeding Program. However, her health testing did not come out as desired due to a lumbar transverse vertebrae, and Emry was spayed. That is ok, as Emry is highly enjoying her agility and nosework careers! Emry's future is bright!

Registered Name: Stone’s Sterling Knight CGC ORT Therapy Dog

Sex Status: Neutered Male
Sterling came to Shantel by way of the Standard Schnauzer Club of America Rescue when he was 8 years old. Sterling's breeder and owner was unable to fully care for him, and surrendered all 13 of his dogs to the SSCA.
Sterling is a timid boy, as he had little socialization as a young dog. Shantel did take Sterling to several obedience classes and scent/nose work training classes, but he could never conquer his fears of strangers, dogs, and noises. However, Sterling serves as the best boy of the house, and fully enjoys his duties of patrolling squirrels, keeping the girls in line, and snuggling with Shantel!

Jade came to Shantel when Jade was 6.5 years old. Jade had previously been a show dog, but when her breeder went into assisted living Jade was sold to a man who turned her into a non-stop breeding dog. It is unknown how many litters Jade produced in her 2 years with this person, but when Schnauzer Rescue of Minnesota (Shantel's rescue) took Jade in, along with 3 other SS, Jade was in rough physical and mental shape. Due to Jade's emotional issues, Shantel elected to keep Jade after a failed placement attempt.
Jade went on to have an extremely successful nose/scent work career, earning over 30 scent/nose work titles! Shantel also took Jade into the show ring a few time, and Jade LOVED it! Jade even won big at the National Specialty in 2022 at the age of 13 years old!
Jade never fully conquered her fear of strangers and sounds, but she has lived the most wonderful like in Shantel and Matt's care. Jade loved to lay on her bed and eat all the snacks she could. Jade ultimately passed at the age of 16 years 4 months from complications of oral melanoma.
